Like any other regionally accredited school, I needed aJan 23 2009Public Health
Like any other regionally accredited school, I needed a regionally accredited bachelers degree and work experience in addition to demonstrating my communication ablities while being interviewed. I chose UOP because I found this school just as good as any other college based on is accreditation. From reading reviews of top tier and other popular colleges, they all have basically the same issues of positive and negative attributes. Some may say negative things about Univ. of Phoenix, but I found negative and even serious issues with so-called ivy league and other top tier colleges in reference to student/faculty relations; poor academic quality and faculty handing out easy grades or students who showed marginal interest in their curriculum, but were more interested in the social life that exists at these schools. UOP on the other hand is a place that does not have the party and social life that exists at schools that cater to younger students, but fosters an environment of work ethics and professional expectations. Students who usually complain against UOP are those who were either failing or lagging behind in their course work and who have become disgruntled at their own lack of competence, but instead of holding themselves responsible, they proceed to attack the school. UOP is highly regarded in most cases and it is the type of school that does not baby sit the student, but holds the student accountable to a high degree of excellence.

I sent copies of transcriptsJan 22 2009Business - Management and Administration
I sent copies of transcripts. If you are looking to fill a box in your job application, I do recommend it for now. But if you want to be taken seriously, I recommend you to go to a more reputable university.

I wanted to pursue an MBA degree in healthcare,Dec 19 2008Public Health
I wanted to pursue an MBA degree in healthcare, but there were few traditional colleges that offered this type of degree and the ones that did were schools lik Yale or George Washington University where the total tuition for a 2 year program is upwards of $100,000, plus residency requirements. This would not work for me at all. Most other online colleges that did offer this program were far away that would prohibit me from physically interacting with the school without having to travel long distances and most if not all do not have he business program accreditation. Yet, I found Univ. of Phoenx had the exact healthcare program I was looking for; it was very affordable; many physical locations that would allow me to interact physically without traveling long distances and no need to reside on campus. All I needed to do to get into the Masters program was to submit to them an official regionally accredited bachelers degree transcript and since it was completed within 10 years, I did not need to take the three pre core courses.
